EEOC Suspends the Issuance of Right-to-Sue Letters During Pandemic Fortney, David S.

EEOC announced that, as a result of COVID-19, it would temporarily pause closing its investigations or issuing right-to-sue letters unless receiving a request from the charging party and a letter from more than 80 employee advocates. EEOC has yet to publish guidelines for federal agencies or their employees, creating uncertainty for employers seeking to know if they will in fact face litigation on EEOC matters.
